CO2 control

More emphasis has been put on CO2 application to increase quality and productivity. The development of a sophisticated CO2 control system is of top priority.


CO2 dosing system
Photosynthesis is the plants process to manufacture sugars from water and CO2 in the presence of light. More than 75 of the plant dry matter has to do with CO2. Average concentration of CO2 outdoors is 340 ppm which is considered the minimum. In the greenhouses CO2 concentration drops to lower level due to high consumption of the plants. A CO2 dosing system is essential to maintain the minimum CO2 level in the greenhouse, also to raise the concentration up to 500-1000 ppm which have positive effect on the productivity.

CO2 source in the greenhouses:
Central from boiler as a result of fuel combustion for heating (not in case of diesel oil)
Central from tank liquid CO2 passing through an air blower, or via CO2 fine hoses
Central as combined sources from boiler and tank
CO2 generator
CO2 dosing unit
